Sorry for the crazy-last-minute notice, but I'll be demoing MyChoiceBot at tonight's Ottawa Flexcamp event, hosted by Adobe. If you intend to attend, be sure to register. It's free, but filling up fast as I understand it.

Thanks for the demo. Given the number of people lining up for questions, you sparked good interest.
I hope you can help reshape the way products are compared, and that you'll be successful.
I've missed any points you might have made about what technology choices you've made. My initial gut feeling is that Java would have been the best choice.
Yesterday's Flex gathering made it clear that the younger generation is starting from scratch and is not paying attention to all the work and technology that have been made before they started, which I found somewhat disturbing.
One person tried to encourage better development, but concepts like extreme programming aren't mentioned (anymore?).
This means that one can ignore any "trends" and just go with what works.
So, is Flex just working for you, are you aware of other technologies?

Hi Mike- Thanks for your comment. At the end of my presention, I think I showed a ChoiceBot that I had created a while back to help me choose from a number of platforms that I was considering at the time. I like to think that I'm not in the "use it because it's new" crowd, and my platform-selection ChoiceBot contained features such as "Platform maturity" and "Ease of finding expertise", as well as "Visual slickness", etc. Unfortunately, that ChoiceBot was created using an early prototype, so I can't post a link. I'll re-create it using the current version at some point...

I really enjoyed your presentation at the Flex event, it was great. ChoiceBots seem like very powerful tools and I can certainly see them being extremely useful on review websites and the like. Good luck with your endeavors, I wish you every success!
